Who are you?
We are Charlotteforless, LLC, a family owned business. I'm Andy, a Hospitality Management graduate from East Carolina University. Despite being an Information Technology pro / consultant for the past two decages, I have always rented houses as a side business. A 2016 statistic says 109 people a month move to Charlotte. And the challenge for many is - they need a place for longer than a hotel, but shorter than a 6 or 12 month lease for all kinds of reasons. So several few years ago, and after a pair of annual tenants destroyed one of our brand new spaces, we decided to change our business model to renting fully equipped and better appointed spaces than traditional extended stay lodging options. I was amazed at the results as well as the demand; so much so that we have since built two new homes which we have added to our portfolio. Over the years, we've had company interns, summer employees, travel nurses and folks relocating - buying and / or selling a house, waiting on closings, and several repeat customers. And every single one of them wanted a full kitchen, central air / heat, laundry in their unit and ultra fast internet among other amenities. That's where we come in! We give you Charlotte For Less!
What exactly do you do?
We provide fully furnished extended stay lodging accommodations all of which include full kitchens (with stoves and microwaves), in-unit laundry facilities, 55" HDTVs and more, all for less money than a typical extended stay lodging facility. We provide fast internet, cable TV, off street parking, a real mailing address and many other amenities. We currently have three rentals available from which to choose; two, three and four bedroom options are available. Two of our spaces are new construction and built specifically for our business model in 2014 and 2018.
How does it work and what is the process?
Much of our business comes from travel sites, particularly AirBNB. While we are happy to work with our advertising partners, we are also our own real limited liability corporation with a business merchant account and are happy to book your reservation directly. Any confirmed reservation that is not booked through our partners is subject to a $300 security deposit to confirm your reservation. We require a $300 deposit because each reservation represents a 30 day stay or longer, and we want to make sure we can count on you to arrive. Our model works differently than a standard hotel and it usually isn't possible to re-rent those days. The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel the reservation but will be returned to you at the end of your stay if there is no damage to the unit during your stay. We typically charge a $100 pet fee per animal who are accompanying you for the duration of your stay. Please be sure to put any special needs or requests in the comments box before submitting it.

Are the nightly fees negotiable?
All of our customer's needs vary, so depending on your length of stay, maybe. That said, please understand that we are a legal, fully licensed lodging business and are required to pay lodging tax to the state of North Carolina on most of the bookings we accept. An 89 day stay is the minimum requirement to avoid the 15.2% occupancy tax on our properties. Our prices are already lower than a comparable lodging facility and we offer more than they do for less money. Come upgrade your stay in Charlotte!
